Our games carry two kinds of fact, and each is held to its own standard — both printed with their source. Stats, records, and rules — career totals, streaks, championships, single-game marks, how the game is officiated — are built on official WNBA box scores, record books, and the rulebook, and checked against them before they ship. If a record cannot be confirmed against an authoritative source it does not ship, and “most ever” claims are re-checked over time as leaders change.
Context and history — a player’s backstory, the origin of a nickname — come from named, reputable publications, cited so you can see exactly where each one came from. We don’t dress these up as stat-checked; we name the source and let it stand.
Short version: recent games are weighted most, that rate is regressed toward the player's established level, and the finish is scaled by how much she has actually played and her injury status. The long version is on How the projections work.
In Pace, each correct higher-or-lower call extends your streak, and a wrong one ends it — your best streak is kept in your browser so you can try to beat it. The grouping puzzle keeps its own streak and your completed-puzzle history the same way. Decipher is a one-off each day and does not keep a running record.
WNBA is live now — Decipher and Pace daily, plus the grouping-puzzle archive. NFL and Golf are in the works. The plan is the same everywhere: real data, verified before it ships.
