Built from real data

Every category starts from actual WNBA data: rosters and franchises, draft classes, career and single-season records, statistical leaders, jersey numbers, colleges and award histories. We do not invent connections — we find the true ones and hide them in plain sight.

The rules we build by

The difference between a clean puzzle and a frustrating one comes down to a few hard constraints we hold every board to:

• One home per tile. Every answer belongs to exactly one category on that board. If a player could honestly fit two of the four groups, the board is broken and gets reworked.
• No tells from formatting. A category should never be identifiable just by how its tiles look. You solve by meaning, not by spotting the odd one out.
• No impostor tiles. There are no decoy answers that belong to nothing — this is true grouping, where all sixteen resolve into four honest fours.
• Deduction over recall. The best boards reward thinking, not just knowing. We lean on overlapping clues, misdirection and wordplay so a sharp solver can reason to an answer they could not have recited cold.

Verified before it ships

Every fact on a board is checked against authoritative WNBA stat databases — official box-score and career records — before it publishes, verified rather than taken at face value from a single unchecked page. Records get re-verified over time, because leaders change and a "most ever" can quietly stop being true. If a fact cannot be confirmed against a reliable source, it does not make the board.
